Hi, I'm Tessa Townsend! I grew up in Dalton, GA, a small town where everyone knew each other. After high school, I started college at Chattanooga State, playing volleyball as a freshman. In 2022, I transferred to the University of Tampa, ready to explore new places and soak up the sunshine I'd always loved. Moving to Tampa was a significant change from a place everyone knew to a new city very few had heard of back home. I had a fresh start, making new friends and balancing a new schedule.
Since transferring, I've gotten involved in Kappa Alpha Theta, Global Ambassadors, and the American Marketing Association, which has helped me connect with new people and make terrific friends. Outside of class, I love to work out, try my hand at drawing, and learn new skills, from baking bread to crocheting. I also love spending time with friends, whether it's exploring new activities or spending the day at the beach. Living in Florida has been an adventure, and I'm grateful for every bit of it!
Taking responsibility for my actions is important to me. If I make a mistake, I own it and work to make things right, always learning from the experience.
I think everyone deserves to feel valued and heard. I make an effort to understand other people's perspectives and treat them with the dignity they deserve.
I believe small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Whether it's offering a helping hand or simply listening, I aim to bring positivity into my interactions with others.
Being truthful is essential to building strong relationships. I strive to be open and transparent in my words and actions, even when it's difficult, because I value trust.
